I recently had a session with a Shaman (a person who heals the soul and spirit by gaining knowledge from ancestors, spirit guides and the Earth. Bottom line, Shamans are great listeners, they listen to everything and with all senses go!) During the treatment, he listened to my body and found where the pain was stuck and why it was stuck. I will spare you the details and tell you that my heart chords were not playing a lovely song in the tune of Liz Major, instead it was slowly vibrating a pitter-patter of sorrow, loss, fear, etc. I was instructed by this wise man to LOVE THYSELF! I thought WOW, THAT'S BRILLIANT BUT NOT SO EASY! I tend to give and give and give without giving to myself first. Therefore, I am a reflection that is bouncing off of me. In other words, and I use the Wicked Queen as a perfect example, the Queen is fine with hearing that she is the fairest one of them all, in fact that is how we ALL should feel. When she hears little sweet Snow White is the fairest, she clamors clumsily to her senses and wonders how this news can ghastly be! Shortly after she recognizes her subordinate position in the world, jealousy, envy, pride, and anxiety set in to destroy her. Her reflection in the mirror has changed and so her emotions and well-being has gone with it too.  Our energy vibrates off others like we are dolphins using our sonar and if we are not in accord with our higher self then that energy will bounce back and stick to us. In order to achieve harmony we must harmonize with our selves first! I encourage you to heal yourself through self love in order to have it reflected back to you; but of course let's still be humble and not wickedly self-centered like the Queen. Most of you know that I have a two year old little girl and she is why I have made the reference to the movie Snow White. It is now an obsession of hers but I thought how interesting, that we teach the young to be little princes and princesses so that they may see their worth and be loved as if they were Gods, Goddesses, Queens and Kings.  I challenge you this week and beyond to LOVE THYSELF REGARDLESS! This quote reminds me to think outside the box and do what has never been done before and the only way to achieve these means is to strive to express myself more fully, because there is nothing more unique than ourselves!

Every day should be celebrated like its our first and not our last! I have only learned this very recently by watching my 2 year old daughter, Arie, experiment with the world around her without restraint. She is attentive, curious, and willing to receive without any notion of how she "should" act or be, and of course we love her no matter what! Wouldn't that be nice to rest our minds knowing that we may fully be ourselves and be loved unconditionally? Well we can and we are! You are loved beyond measure right this instant! "If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. I'm sending this out to all the GOOD PEOPLE! I don't know if you have heard Jack Johnson's song "GOOD PEOPLE" but it's worth listening to! Cause sometimes you wonder "where'd all the good people go?"

Well I know where the GOOD PEOPLE are and they are reading this newsletter right now! I'm going to ask you...Do you know how GOOD, GREAT, AWESOME YOU REALLY ARE?! It's easy to forget and there are times when we need some uplifting in our lives and today I'm having one of those days! So, I'm reaching out to my peeps so that I may remind you AND myself that it doesn't matter how many shades of gray our lives may appear, our higher self is a beautiful sparkling mandala that radiatesevery color unimaginable but you can't see it because the ego would take you on a wild ride so we MUST RELY UPON EACH OTHER TO REMIND OURSELVES HOW BEAUTIFUL AND PRECIOUS LIFE IS!   I celebrate today for being fully open to the universe in order to feel the "bad" and the "good" so that I may know the difference. Einstein said "Either everything is a miracle or nothing is a miracle."  We have the option to chose from which to live by and I chose the former! There are many different ways to protect yourself from the Sun, but how do we know what is best?! This girl definitely knows what's best! Don't you think?

This lady thinks she is protecting her man from UV rays but in actuality she is preparing him for spontaneous combustion! Poor guy! He could catch on fire from the chemical content in the self proclaimed sunblock! The company bought the label for thousands of dollars so that it's brand could look more reputable! The skin cancer foundation is just laughing all the way to the bank. I'm sorry for being so grim but we gotta educate ourselves people! Here are my recommendations... 1. Always use a physical block as opposed to a chemical block. A physical block uses only zinc oxide or titanium dioxide. These minerals are beneficial to the skin and literally blocks the rays, whereas the chemicals from a chemical block absorb the rays into the skin and breaks up the UV to avoid damage, which is not very successful! 2. Anything over 35 SPF you are only getting a 1% or less of an increase in protection. It is just a marketing ploy if it says SPF 75. It makes no difference if it's 75 or 35. 3. Apply at least 20 minutes before going outdoors. 4. Where it every day!!! The UV still penetrates even when it's cloudy, raining, etc. 5. Brands to buy...Alba is inexpensive and good for the whole family but if you want a sunblock with a skin treatment chalk full of peptides, A, C, E, moisturizers and stem cells, it's Image skincare that I love! Image has a number of different blocks to try depending on your skin type.
